Time is running out for Jadon Sancho at Man United, with the winger now expected to be sold.
Jadon Sancho seemingly isn’t afraid to speak his mind. The Englishman hit back when his training performances were questioned by Erik ten Hag. From that moment on, you knew it was going to be a tough road back for the Englishman.
I’m a big believer in Sancho’s ability. I genuinely believe he has no choice but to fight for his Old Trafford career as if he doesn’t, this is a scenario that could haunt him for the remainder of his professional football career.
There were rumours of ‘showdown talks’ set to take place on Monday (yesterday). Apparently, those have now happened
The Daily Star has an update for us after those talks. Unfortunately, it’s not good news for Sancho…
Their report claims that the United player is ‘now expected to be sold’ in January, with the pair unable to settle their differences.
It’s written that the star ‘faces a losing battle’ to save his reds career, with the relationship with Ten Hag now breaking down.
The duo are struggling to settle their differences due to the lack of trust in what is described as a ‘fractured’ relationship. Despite the fact that there may have been a clear path into the starting line-up for Sancho after Antony is taking some time away from the club.
Sancho will now look to find a new club in January, most likely on loan, with a view to leaving the club permanently next summer.
The verdict
Once again, this is another example of Ten Hag proving that he is boss. That will never change. The Dutchman needs to come down strong whenever these situations arise, otherwise, he would risk being undermined.
For Sancho, finding a new club at the elite level will prove nigh-on impossible. I’d expect he may have to temper his expectations, at least in the short term.
