Isak Hansen-Aaroen has refused to rule out leaving Man United in January, most likely on loan.
Manchester United Football Club have always been pretty good when it comes to giving young players their chance at the highest level. Although Erik ten Hag is keen to carry on that mantra, the Dutchman has admitted that chances will have to be earned, rather than handed out.
Alejandro Garnacho is the best example of that, while Kobbie Mainoo’s opportunities will increase this season. A third player from the 2021 FA Youth Cup winning squad has now spoken out about playing regularly; Isak Hansen-Aaroen.
The man from Norway, an attacking midfielder by trade, was involved in pre-season. He looked pretty assured in every aspect of his game, albeit raw as a talent.
Now, the youngster has claimed he’s attracting a ‘lot of interest’, while refusing to rule out the possibility of a January move away from Old Trafford – which would most likely be on loan.

“There is a lot of interest. If we wanted it to be on a loan, I know we could go.” Hansen-Aaroen told VG, per Sport Witness.
The player then insisted regular football is a “very important and a step I will certainly take very soon.”
Hansen-Aaroen’s biggest issue is that he plays in the same position as Bruno Fernandes. Removing our Portuguese Magnifico from the starting line-up is not going to be easy, even at the best of times.
The good thing about Hansen-Aaroen is that he can be versatile. You’d expect the young man could play a little deeper if asked of him, though at this early stage in his career, you’d want him to specialise in one position, rather than becoming a jack of all trades.
I don’t see any other option than a January loan move for the attacking midfielder. I’d be surprised if that’s at the Premier League level. In an ideal scenario, he’d stay in England and move to a lower-division team who’d be willing to give him regular starts.
At this stage, it’s easy to forget that Hansen-Aaroen is still only nineteen and he has plenty of room to grow and develop as a footballer before he’s even close to being ready for the biggest stage.
