Our predicted MUFC XI for the Champions League home group game vs Galatasaray is now in.
Manchester United Football Club are desperate for a victory at home to Galatasaray on Tuesday night. Lose here and you’re already looking unlikely to qualify for the knockout round.
The visitors to Old Trafford? Galatasaray. The Turkish side have been playing well domestically so this will not be an easy fixture by any stretch of the imagination.
For Erik ten Hag, the pressure is starting to mount. Despite having a squad decimated by injuries, he’s absolutely desperate for a victory in order to ease the stress around the dressing room.
You’d imagine for this game, one or two changes will be made in order to freshen things up just a little bit. Anyway, let’s give you the full rundown of the squad.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Galatasaray in full here:
Altay Bayindir looks like a player who will come in here, particularly against a side he will know so well from his time over in Turkey.
At right-back, Diogo Dalot remains the only viable option for the Reds so he will continue to build personal confidence with another outing. Sofyan Amrabat is the starting left-back here, with no other players available in that area. Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof remain the first-choice centre-back pairing as things stand.
Casemiro is the only defensive player in the midfield area right now so he will start alongside Mason Mount at the heart of the pitch. Bruno Fernandes always starts when fit so we should expect to see him continue.
Anthony Martial does deserve a chance to prove his worth. He’s avoided injury since his comeback to the fold so the next step is to slowly ramp up his minutes. To his right, Antony is another player who is coming back to the mix following some off-field issues. Marcus Rashford completes the line-up.
