Man United have been given a welcome lift, with Kobbie Mainoo back in training with the group following injury.
Manchester United have been hit brutally hard on the injury front so far this season. Be it bad luck, an overworking of the players due to a colossal amount of games, or something else entirely. The Reds have been struggling to keep footballers fit.
With games now coming thick and fast in the hectic portion of the schedule, the more bodies you have available, the better. Erik ten Hag is still looking thin on the ground in the full-back position, though in midfield, players are returning.
One man we were all super excited to see was Kobbie Mainoo. The young midfielder looked super sharp during his limited pre-season minutes before he was struck down with injury.
However, there has been a boost for United on that front, with the starlet back in senior training yesterday after suffering that pretty grim pre-season injury. It’s the usually reliable Laurie Whitwell who provided the below video.

It’s somewhat unfair, but we’re all putting big pressure on Mainoo as he looked so sharp over the summer. United fans are expecting miracles from the kid and while he’s capable of producing it, we have to remember he is still young.
There’s always an extra excitement when it’s a homegrown player involved, too. Mainoo came through the academy here in Manchester and I’m super intrigued to watch him don that United kit in the first-team.
There’s plenty of bodies in front of him but I genuinely believe that, from what I’ve seen, United are a better outfit with Mainoo starting games.
