Jamal Musiala’s national team career has always proceeded side by side with his club steps at Bayern Munich.
Now he is soaring for Die Mannschaft — under the second Germany coach to mentor him with the national team after having previously coached him at Bayern.
“He’s very important for Bayern right now,” current Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann remarked in comments captured by @iMiaSanMia.” When I was at Bayern, I said that he could still develop the urge to score goals. He’s doing that right now. He has a lot of responsibility and decides whether and how easily Bayern wins. He’s making good progress. His potential was always known — and now he’s gaining a certain seriousness and straightforwardness.”
Musiala previously got his start with the Bayern first team under Hansi Flick, who was Germany boss before Nagelsmann took the reins ahead of EURO 2024. And this season under Vincent Kompany, his goals production looks to have taken a big jump — already with nine goals across all competitions, including five from eight Bundesliga matchdays, good for half his mark from the previous entire season.
What lies in store ahead for Musiala and Germany?
