Bayern Munich defender Adam Aznou made a strong impression during the preseason, but has been unable to break through into the first team because of the squad’s great depth and versatility.
Even with the lack of playing time available, neither Aznou, nor Bayern Munich think it is a good idea to go on loan:
Top talent Adam Aznou (18) is expected to stay at FC Bayern beyond January. A loan for more match practice at a high level is currently not planned by either the club or the player — even if there are concrete inquiries for January (Bundesliga and abroad).
Sacha Boey’s injury and Aznou’s good development in training speak against this. Vincent Kompany is happy with the Moroccan international and has promised him more minutes in the second half of the season if he continues like this. In the long term, FCB is planning to keep Aznou – as a left and right back.
A big factor in Aznou’s future could be what happens with Alphonso Davies. Linked to Real Madrid, Manchester United, FC Barcelona, and Liverpool FC, a departure for Davies next summer could open the door for Aznou to compete for a starting position with the first team.
