Tottenham will hand Ange Postecoglou a paltry budget for mid-season reinforcements
Tottenham Hotspur are in desperate need of reinforcements with the team languishing down in 11th place following a 2-2 draw at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Ange Postecoglou has not enjoyed his second season in North London and a big part of that is down to the injury problems. Persistent injury problems and suspensions have led to poor displays in both the Premier League and the Europa League.
Over recent weeks and months, Spurs have been without Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Ben Davies, Richarlison, Guglielmo Vicario, Mikey Moore and Wilson Odobert. Rodrigo Bentancur has also served a domestic seven-game ban, while Destiny Udogie was the latest casualty as he pulled up in the 2-2 draw with Wolves.
-> “Clock is ticking”- Postecoglou claim made as Tottenham face pivotal January schedule
Tottenham must back Ange Postecoglou during the mid-season trading period by making a few quality signings to his squad. However, it looks as though the Australian tactician is on course to be left disappointed with his attempts to reinforce his ranks.
According to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Daniel Levy is set to hand the Spurs boss an extremely limited budget to spend in the winter market despite the club lying in the bottom half of the table, 11 points behind fourth-place Chelsea.
The Lilywhites showed ambition in the summer transfer window, breaking their transfer record by signing Dominic Solanke in a £65million deal from Bournemouth. Due to many reasons, results have not been consistent in the first half of the campaign and Big Ange would have liked to address a couple of problematic areas in his squad with new additions.
The aforementioned report adds Tottenham are likely to hand their head coach a paltry £25million to spend on reinforcements during the upcoming January transfer window. This is perhaps due to Daniel Levy not being a fan of spending in the mid-season trading period unless new players represent good value, meaning Big Ange is in danger of missing out on primary targets.

The Greece-born coach took responsibility for his side’s slump in form, which has seen certain sections of the fanbase and pundits alike call out the board to sack him. As his squad has been stretched too thin, especially in defence which currently has only one fit centre-back in Radu Dragusin, Big Ange expects to be backed well in the transfer market to help him steady the ship.

However, signs coming from the club are not optimistic as Levy isn’t expected to loosen his purse strings for mid-season additions even though there are reservations about missing out on qualifying for Europe ahead of next season.
