West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen has been out injured since December 29th, after he fractured his foot against Liverpool.
Jarrod Bowen is our best and most consistent player, so it’s no surprise that West Ham have struggled during his absence.
The Hammers have been without Bowen for just over three weeks now, as he continues his rehabilitation from the nasty foot injury he picked up at the end of last year.
West Ham have badly missed our talisman, and we need him back in the team badly.
Graham Potter will have a much greater chance of succeeding with Bowen in the side, that’s for sure.
So how much longer do we have to wait before we see the former Hull City star in the famous Claret and Blue?
Well, now we have more clarity on the situation.
Staggering Jarrod Bowen injury news emerges
Bowen has always worked incredibly hard to return to action sooner than the recovery time given to him by doctors.
But will it be the same this time around?
One of David Sullivan’s most trusted confidant’s has now provided a big update on the situation.
According to Sean Whetstone Bowen will be back in time to face Chelsea on February 3rd.
It was originally claimed that Bowen would be out for a minimum of two months, meaning that he wouldn’t return until the first day of March at the very earliest.
So having him back in just two week’s time really is great news for the Hammers.
Let’s hope that he doesn’t take too long to hit the ground running either.
Jarrod Bowen stats for West Ham highlight his importance
Since moving to the London Stadium from Hull City in January 2020, the 28-year-old has been our most valuable player.
Not only is he hugely important in the final third for us, but his work-rate defensively is second to none as well.
Bowen has recorded some seriously impressive numbers for the Hammers.
He has bagged 66 goals and 43 assists in 223 games for West Ham over the past five years (Transfermarkt).
That really is a truly exceptional return.
Jarrod Bowen is contracted at West Ham until the summer of 2030, so we have many more years left with him leading the side.
I cannot wait to have the 28-year-old back in the team and firing on all cylinders under the stewardship of Graham Potter.
