Tottenham are expected to make a signing or two before the January transfer window slams shut to make up for lost numbers and make another statement after the arrival of Antonin Kinsky.
They have now set their eyes on the centre-forward slot, with Dominic Solanke out injured.
Tottenham make Evan Ferguson inquiry after losing Dominic Solanke
As reported by TBR Football, Tottenham have asked Brighton and Hove Albion to keep them updated regarding the availability of Evan Ferguson, who is currently valued at £60 million.
The Lilywhites’ situation up front has become more desperate with the injury to Dominic Solanke, though Ferguson himself is currently out injured with an ankle issue.
The young Republic of Ireland international’s stock has fallen considerably ever since he arrived onto the scene as an 18-year-old and delivered some scintillating performances for the Seagulls. He is still very well regarded, however, and is expected to return to delivering the goods once he puts his current injury issues behind, though he did sit out 17 games last season for club and country due to knee and ankle issues.
Ferguson has made 14 appearances for Brighton this season, scoring one goal.
TTLB Opinion
Ferguson is probably going to require close monitoring in the coming months to make sure he is able to shake off his injury woes and return among the goals as regularly as he had been when he arrived onto the scene.
Because of this reason, we do not consider him an option for anyone, least of all the injury-threatened Spurs who are in need of short-term options for the time being.
