Declan Rice’s father is Britain’s busiest agent

Declan Rice’s father Sean is currently the busiest football agent in Britain as he bids to push through his son’s transfer from West Ham.

The Hammers skipper appointed his Dad as his agent after leaving his previous representatives and it was as a result of that perhaps he remained at the club this last season.

The club definitely made a gentleman’s agreement with Rice senior that Declan could leave in the summer of this year assuming a suitable offer was made.

It, of course, also gave Sean the chance to make plenty of moves around a variety of clubs over the year as he looked for the best club and contract his son could expect to be offered,

Claret and Hugh was told this morning by club and agent sources that he has been extremely busy since and that Arsenal are certainly the best placed. However word that they are ready to pay £85 million certainly won’t be enough and hasn’t gone down well with the irons board.

Sean Rice talking to clubs about West Ham star

Sean – we are told – has talked with Manchester United who continue to monitor the position and Sky report that Bayern Munich’s Thomas Tuchel has allegedly spoken to Declan.

That is an odd one as it is not within the game’s rules for such conversations to take place outside of the transfer window,

Rice snr – as a season ticket holder and mad Chelsea fan may want talks with new Stamford Bridge boss Mauricio Pochettino when he takes up his role on July 1. In the meantime it has emerged that Manchester City too have his son on their list of possible arrivals.

The busier it gets the better for the Rice’s and West Ham who all want the best price possible for the Hammers academy product whose rise to the top has been quite extraordinary.
