There’s been a possible David Moyes and Tim Steidten breakthrough as a report claims West Ham will now move for the German’s target Youssouf Fofana.
Could there be a thawing of the frosty relationship between David Moyes and Tim Steidten over transfers at West Ham?
West Ham fans are growing increasingly frustrated by the fact the club has failed to sign a single player in the summer transfer window so far.
They are in the midst of a dangerous transfer stand-off which was exclusively confirmed to Hammers News by a top club source amid claims new technical director Steidten could walk less than a month into the job.

“He finds the manager very hard work,” was our top source’s verdict on rumours a frustrated Steidten could leave the Hammers.
Moyes has also admitted he is still getting to know Steidten and has hardly had time to sit down and get to know him.

A source close to the West Ham board has described the club’s transfer by committee approach as ‘a shambles and complete mess’.
But there’s been a possible Moyes and Steidten breakthrough as a report claims West Ham will now move for the German’s target Youssouf Fofana.
Hammers links to Fofana had gone quiet… until now
West Ham are looking to sign two midfielders to replace Declan Rice.
But as fans will be well aware, the Hammers have been chasing a contrasting profile of players.
Moyes is wanting the likes of James Ward-Prowse, Joao Palhinha and Scott McTominay while Steidten is said to be targeting Denis Zakaria and Fofana.
It was recently claimed that Steidten is very much driving West Ham’s interest in Monaco and France ace Fofana.
Things had gone quiet on that front in the last week, though. Until now.
‘West Ham’s hierarchy want Steidten to stay’
Because according to The Daily Mail’s Transfer Confidential column, West Ham are expected to push to try and sign Fofana in the coming days.
“West Ham’s hierarchy want Steidten to stay so hope a breakthrough on signings can appease all,” the report states.
The report also claims West Ham will try to sign Fofana’s compatriot Adrien Truffert too. The Rennes left-back is another Steidten target.
But that transfer looks dead in the water as reported earlier on Hammers News.
