Manchester City do hold an “interest” in Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze and Wolves winger Pedro Neto, according to HITC.
The Premier League champions are weighing up their options after deciding to sell Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid.
It is believed that City will receive around €75m upfront (£64.5m) for Alvarez, with another €20m (£17.2m) due in performance-related add-ons, taking the total fee to €95m (£81.7m).
Manager Pep Guardiola spoke out last week to say that his club were unlikely to sign any more players this summer unless someone left.
With Alvarez set to complete his switch to Spain over the coming days, it appears as though the Cityzens will look to replace him before the transfer window closes on August 30th.
City have been monitoring Eze
The England international has been on the Manchester side’s radar for several months and the existence of a £65m release clause in his contract may tempt them into making an offer for the player.
However, they are not the only team interested in Eze, with both Arsenal and Liverpool having also been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old.
Any deal for Neto would come with substantial risk
The Portuguese international is an outstanding winger but few clubs have been tempted to make an offer for him this summer due to his awful injury record.
Wolves are believed to be holding out for around £60m and that fee has been deemed too high by City and others, up until now, due to the risks associated with buying Neto.
The forward has spent 584 days on the sidelines with knee, ankle, hamstring and other muscular injuries since he joined Wolves from Lazio in the summer of 2019. You would think that the Cityzens would only pursue his signature if his price tag is reduced significantly.
