Harry Kane was on the receiving side of an Amine Adli foul in the dying minutes of Bayern Munich’s tense game against Bayer Leverkusen. The striker went down in pain, with play only stopping after his teammates signaled to the officials that someone was hurt. The foul did not yield any cards, something that Kane lamented after the game concluded.
“We saw in football in the past year that cards were given for that, even red cards… But that’s football,” Kane said (Bild via @iMiaSanMia). “We have important games ahead of us, let’s move on.”
The game ended 1-1 after Xabi Alonso was forced to sit back to withstand the wave of pressure Bayern inflicted upon his team. Nevertheless, the Bavarians still sit atop the Bundesliga table where they belong whilst maintaining their unbeaten run to start the season. The Rekordmeister play Aston Villa in the Champions League next.
