It is widely assume that Bayern Munich will look directly toward Alexander Nübel once Manuel Neuer retires.
Nübel has been the anointed successor for years now, but is it possible that the Bavarians might already be moving on from the Germany international?
Maybe (admittedly, it is a very loose maybe).
Per one report out of England, Bayern Munich is keeping a close eye on Liverpool FC goalkeeper Alisson Becker as an option to take over for Neuer when he finally calls it a career:
According to The Sun, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is being eyed for a move by German giants Bayern Munich.
They are looking to replace legendary goalkeeper Manuel Neuer at the end of the season and Alisson is one of the candidates they have identified for the goalkeeping position.
The 28-year-old Neuer is reaching the final stages of his career and in the last two seasons, he has gone through some serious injury issues.
The German goalkeeper has made just 35 Bundesliga appearances in the last two seasons due to his fitness concerns.
His contract at the Allianz Arena is set to expire at the end of this season and with his future up in the air, the German club have earmarked Alisson as Neuer’s potential replacement.
Liverpool signed goalkeeper Giogi Mamardashvili this summer and sent him on loan to Valencia for this season.
The Georgian goalkeeper will arrive at the club next summer and he is going to compete for a starting spot with the Brazilian goalkeeper.
Alisson has been a fantastic servant for the Reds, helping them win the Premier League and the Champions League titles.
His loss will be huge for Liverpool if he leaves the club at the end of the season.
Unless Bayern Munich has gone through a turnaround with how it feels about Nübel, this seems like a longshot.
Manchester United is entering “dumpster fire mode”, but Erik ten Hag does not think his job is in jeopardy…or he is not thinking about his job being in doubt:
United had Bruno Fernandes sent off in the first half, but they were second best for much of the game even when they had their full complement of players.
The result will further increase the pressure on Ten Hag, who has overseen a run of three wins from eight games so far this season.
Asked whether he is concerned his United bosses could look to change the manager, Ten Hag said: “I am not thinking about this. We made the decision from a clear review [in the summer] what we have to improve and how we want to construct a squad but we knew it will take some time. We need some time. We are all on one page or in one boat together. The ownership, the staff and the players as well. I don’t have that concern.”
One boat? Is it named The Titanic?
Bayern Munich’s performance against Leverkusen was one that displayed dominance, but was found lacking on the scoresheet. Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae was named to kicker’s Bundesliga Team of the Week for his performance against Bayer Leverkusen:

In the end, many will probably look back at Griezmann’s career and realize he was a tad underrated in this era.
Well, it finally happened.
Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen faced in a match that was months in the making. The defending champs vs. the Rekordmeister…and it ended up in a draw. In a game full of imaginative subplots, neither team could muster up enough offense to break though the other.

If Bayern Munich is looking to shed a few competitors in its alleged pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, then it is in luck as Liverpool is reportedly not going to engage in the bidding:
The Liverpool Echo reports that Liverpool will not attempt to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen next summer.
On Thursday, reports in Germany linked the Reds with a £125m move for the 21-year-old, who scored 18 goals and contributed 20 assists in 49 games last season.
However, the paper says that Liverpool have no plans to add players in wide areas and will not move for Wirtz, who will visit Anfield in the Champions League in November.
Jonathan David could be set to receive a lot of interest in January:
