Jamal Musiala has been negotiating with Bayern Munich for a new contract for quite some time now (or at least it feels that way). His demands were revealed recently, and explained on BFW, but there is now a clearer explanation of his salary demands specifically.
According to a report (via Christian Falk, captured by @iMiaSanMia), Musiala’s camp has certain expectations when it comes to his salary hike. He is not exactly asking to earn the most among the squad, but they are negotiating a significant salary increase. The young German star believes that the squad and Vincent Kompany depends on his performances, and since the club sees him as the next Thomas Müller, he wants to see that dependency reflected on his wages.
Signing a new contract at Bayern would entirely depend on whether or not Musiala’s financial goals are accepted by the club’s management. He also knows that he is young enough to be able to take a next step in the next few years, and he has more to offer for the German Rekordmeister. Another thing that compels Musiala to stay for longer at the club is the fact that he genuinely just enjoys playing under Kompany. According to him, Kompany is trying to improve his style of football, and that education is extremely important to him.
