Fans of Germany were desperately disappointed by Julian Nagelsmann’s decision to not give Aleksandar Pavlović his first Germany start in the recent match against Bosnia and Herzegovina when the starting XI was announced. But that sentiment quickly changed when Pavlović was spotted warming up with a bandage on his left knee and it became apparent that the snub was due to injury.
The bandage on the Bayern Munich player’s knee remains, but his fitness has now improved to the extent that he will be ready to start in Bayern’s weekend match against VfB Stuttgart, according to a report captured by @iMiaSanMia:
Aleksandar Pavlović, who sustained a bruised knee during a training challenge with Jonathan Tah while in the national team, has trained normally today with a bandaged knee. The midfielder is ready for the game against Stuttgart
Considering Pavlović finally managed to make his starting debut for Germany against Netherlands on Monday, it seems likely that this report is correct and that the Bayern Campus graduate will similarly be ready to start on the weekend.
