In an interview with Abendzeitung journalist Kilian Kreitmair (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), former Bayern Munich prospect and current FC Augsburg attacker Yusuf Kabadayı said that he was eager to face his former club.
“I’m really looking forward to the game. I played for FC Bayern for twelve years and grew up about 500 meters from the Allianz Arena. We want to win every game. We go into every game with this mindset. Winning against Bayern is of course an extra incentive. We want to play a good game. We’ll see what the end result is,” Kabadayı said.
When asked if he would consider a move back to Bayern Munich, Kabadayı did not rule it out, but did say that he was very happy with Die Fuggerstädter.
“If you have the chance to move to FC Bayern, nobody would say no. That goes for me too. I’m from Munich and of course it would be a dream to play for FC Bayern. But I made a conscious decision to play for FC Augsburg and I’m very happy. I want to get as much playing time as possible here, help the team with goals and assists and develop further,” said Kabadayı.
If the youngster wants to start his journey back to Säbener Straße, a good performance against Bayern Munich could help open some eyes.
