Kevin De Bruyne will miss the start of next season after suffering a hamstring tear in the Champions League final.
The midfielder was forced off the pitch in the first half of the huge clash with Inter Milan, which his team went on to win 1-0 to complete the Treble.
And it seems the injury was a serious one with the Daily Star reporting that he won’t be fit in time for the new campaign.
The Belgian is believed to have suffered a Grade Three hamstring tear which will see him miss the Community Shield season opener against Arsenal.
He is also set to miss City’s first Premier League game against Burnley at Turf Moor.

However, club doctors are hopeful that he will be able to feature in some form against Sevilla in the European Super Cup.
The good news is that he will not require surgery and if all goes to plan it should not impact his season too much.
The report says that De Bruyne has been told to rest up before beginning his rehab next month.
The 31-year-old is currently doing just that, having been seen on a yacht in Saint-Tropez with team-mate Nathan Ake and Virgil van Dijk this week.
