Consequences: DFB fines Mainz’s Dominik Kohr with refereeing comments after defeat to Bayern Munich

After Bayern Munich demolished fellow Bundesliga club Mainz 05 to the tune of 4-0 in the second round of the DFB-Pokal, Mainz player Dominik Kohr lashed out at the officiating, claiming, “the referee had a Bayern shirt on today.” Now consequences have come to bear in the form of a fine by the German football association.

Mainz’s Dominik Kohr has been fined €10k by the DFB for ‘unsportsmanlike conduct’ following his statement (The referee was wearing a Bayern shirt) after last week’s DFB Pokal game

Kohr made his presence known as much with his on field antics in that game, with Jamal Musiala commenting on the harsh fouls he received and Bayern coach Vincent Kompany calling for referees to better protect players.
