OGC Nice forward Evann Guessand has emerged as a target for Tottenham
Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani has strongly been linked with moves to both Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus this month.
Last week, club chairman Daniel Levy, alongside director of football Johan Lange, flew to Paris to try and negotiate a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Randal Kolo Muani. This showed how much Spurs wanted to bring the Frenchman to N17 in this transfer window.
A few days ago, the North Londoners also learnt the details about the package to sign the 26-year-old. It was a loan deal with an option to buy for around £50 million. However, after so much effort put behind to sign Kolo Muani, transfer news king Fabrizio Romano confirmed via X on Tuesday that the striker has chosen to join Juventus over Tottenham. The 2022 World Cup finalist will fly out to Turin to undergo a medical at Juventus before signing on loan for the rest of the season.

Spurs have been dealt yet another seismic blow this campaign, as they also languish in 12th place in the Premier League. Ange Postecoglou’s side will not shift their focus away from bolstering their attack after missing out on top target Kolo Muani, with the Hotspur Way chiefs now planning to move to alternative targets.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Tottenham have shown an interest in signing OGC Nice striker Evann Guessand, but face competition from Premier League rivals West Ham United and Bournemouth.
Evann Guessand has enjoyed a strong first half of the 2024/25 campaign, scoring nine goals and registering five assists in 25 games across all competitions. This has led French publication L’Equipe to put the OGC Nice forward in their Team of the Season so far.
Luring the 23-year-old away from Nice midway through the season will not be easy though as Franck Haise’s side are challenging for a spot in the Champions League. Nonetheless, the aforementioned report adds that the Ligue 1 side would consider bids in the region of £20m – despite tying Guessand down to a new contract back in August, which runs until the summer of 2028 (Transfermarkt).
Spurs boss Big Ange has been vying for a versatile forward and he would get one in Guessand, who has played across the front line for Nice this season. The France-born Ivory Coast international would add physicality, pace and power to the Lilywhites’ attacking ranks, whilst improving the depth of the squad. This would hugely benefit the Australian tactician, who lost Timo Werner to a hamstring injury earlier this week.
