Brighton & Hove Albion are interested in Tottenham Hotspur star Wilson Odobert
Tottenham have endured yet another disappointing season in the Premier League and Ange Postecoglou should be quite worried about how things have turned out this season. At the time of writing, they are 13th in the points table with 34 points in 28 matches. Spurs have won 10 games, drawn four, and lost 14 matches so far this season. The Lilywhites managed to beat AZ Alkmaar 3-1 in the second leg of the Round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League and qualify for the quarterfinal.
Meanwhile, they recently played out a home draw against Bournemouth in the Premier League. With several players facing uncertain futures, significant squad changes are expected in the upcoming transfer window. Spurs will be eager to strengthen their squad ahead of next season to mount a serious challenge for a top-four finish.
A loan deal on the cards?
Meanwhile, Spanish news outlet Fichajes have reported that Brighton & Hove Albion want to sign Wilson Odobert on loan from Spurs in the summer for the 2025/26 season. The Seagulls need to sign a winger and hence the 20-year-old has attracted the interest of the club. Spurs signed him for £30 million but the player hasn’t had the most promising times in the North London club until now. His tenure has been riddled with injuries, which have led to a loss of game time for the Frenchman.
Wilson Odobert is a winger who oozes flair and quality. His standout quality is his seamless dribbling. He is quick-footed and agile and thrives in one-on-one battles, often leaving defenders grasping at air. With a low centre of gravity and sharp changes of direction, the 20-year-old is reminiscent of a young Raheem Sterling, having pace with technical attributes.
The youngster is comfortable on either wing and his ability to cut inside or burst down the line keeps opponents guessing. His relentless energy and knack for creating chances hint at a high ceiling, though his end product is still sharpening. The 20-year-old is a natural fit for fast, attacking systems.
Will it be a good move?

Odobert is young and has a lot of potential and quality. Odobert can serve Tottenham for a long time. He has got the quality and Spurs have invested in him. However, Odobert needs consistent game time, which he can certainly get in Brighton & Hove Albion. So, the loan deal should be beneficial for Spurs and also for the player.

The 20-year-old will receive the much-needed game time and space to grow. However, as we saw against Alkmaar, Odobert could prove to be the difference maker in clutch moments in North London. Whether Spurs will be keen to hold ontop him or allow him to leave, albeit temporarily, remains to be seen.
